Pioneer Pantry

BC3 community members experiencing food insecurity may access the Pioneer Pantry to support short- or long-term needs. BC3 is designated as a Pennsylvania Hunger-Free Campus and is committed to addressing the basic needs of its students. The Pioneer Pantry operates throughout the semester on posted distribution dates and offers additional distributions prior to college holidays and academic breaks. Grab-and-go food stations are also available at each BC3 location.

Some food is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Emergency Food Assistance Program and requires participants to meet eligibility criteria. However, most food and resource items are available to all BC3 students, faculty, and staff in need, regardless of income or county of residence. Additional support is made possible through donations to the BC3 Education Foundation and grant funding from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and other community foundations. For information on eligibility, distribution schedules, and registration, visit the Pioneer Pantry website or email foodpantry@bc3.edu.
