The Heaton Family Learning Commons provides materials, technology and space to support the curricular and leisure time needs of BC3 students, employees and residents of Butler County. It houses the BC3 Library and Educational Technology Division. The Learning Commons has public computers, laptop bars, two multimedia classrooms, and study spaces for individuals and small or large groups. Copiers, printers and a scanner are available. Hours for the fall and spring semesters are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
BC3 Library
Housed in the Heaton Family Learning Commons, BC3 Librarians provide individualized reference service and classroom instruction. In addition to its 40,000-volume print collection, the BC3 Library offers online resources and services through its website at: library.bc3.edu, which provides online access to ebooks, ejournals, and other databases. Students can request research help through the Ask a Librarian icon on its website or email to library@bc3.edu.
Division of Educational Technology
The Division of Educational Technology oversees the training, development and execution of the College’s distance education (online, hybrid, and iTV live remote) credit course offerings, video conferencing, and digital learning technologies. The BC3 Technology Help Desk is housed within the Division of Educational Technology to support the instructional technology needs of students and faculty.
The BC3 Technology Help Desk provides support for faculty and students in the use of the College’s technologies, such as the MyBC3 Portal, MyBC3 Email, Blackboard, and more. You can reach the BC3 Technology Help Desk by dialing ext. 8441 when at any BC3 location, or by submitting a FastForm ticket online.
