ELEC 240 - Fundamentals of Microprocessors


4 credits (3 lecture, 3 lab)
This course introduces the student to the applications and operation of microprocessors and microprocessor-based systems. CPU architecture, assembly language programming and interfacing using the Motorola MC6800 family and the Microchip family of devices are studied. Microprocessor applications in robotics, control systems, telecommunications and data acquisition are also covered.
