NPHS 203 - Homeland Security and Emergency Management


3 credits (3 lecture)
This course examines the management perspective of organizations linked to: mitigation, prevention, planning, preparedness, readiness, response and recovery, as they relate to homeland security events. U.S. policies and programs are assessed in terms of the hazards posed by international and domestic terrorism, particularly the risks posed by weapons of mass destruction. The unpredictable nature of terroristic attacks is also explored.  Spring semester only.
