PHYS 101 - Physics I 4 credits (3 lecture, 2 lab) This course is designed as an introduction to Physics for students in technology and Liberal Arts programs. Topics include vectors, kinematics, dynamics (translational and rotational), energy and power, momentum properties of materials, and the gas laws and temperature. Microcomputer Based Laboratory (MBL) activities are exclusively utilized. This course meets the General Education competency of Scientific Reasoning (SR).
Prerequisite(s): MATH 117 and PHYS 100 OR Co-requisite: MATH 101
