PENG 104 - Industrial Safety in the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry

This course provides an overview of industrial safety with an emphasis on the natural gas and petroleum industry. Proper methods and procedures for conducting safe operations including analysis of environmental hazards will be explored. Safety equipment and measurement devices associated with the hazards encountered in oil and natural gas surface operations will also be examined. Spring semester only.

Prerequisite(s): Eligibility for enrollment in ENGL 110 or ENGL 101 based on placement test scores; or Cs or better in ENGL 029 or ENGL 030 and/or ENGL 034 or ENGL 035, as required; or transfer credits meeting or surpassing ENGL 110 OR ENGL 101 prerequisites.
