PHED 130 - Canoeing and Water Safety

1 Credits (3 lab)
This course develops river canoeing and water safety skills. The student will learn how to prepare for a canoeing trip, identify hazards and dangers associated with water, and develop water safety and paddling skills. Student must be a competent swimmer and in good physical condition.Note: Classroom and river trips are required and may last longer than the scheduled class. Students must be in good physical condition, able to swim, handle themselves underwater, and deal with a variety of environmental and weather conditions.
