BUSN 121 - Business Mathematics 3 Credits: (3 lecture)
Course Description This course develops the student’s informational and computational knowledge and skills. The course will focus on the fundamental mathematical techniques used in accounting, banking, finance, and merchandising. This course meets the General Education competency of Quantitative Reasoning (QR).
Note Minimum Requirement: Basic 10 - Key Calculator.
Prerequisite A grade of “C” or better in BUSN 021 or a satisfactory score on college placement test.

E. Apply methods and formulas to solve computational business problems.
F. Reconcile a bank statement.
G. Calculate percents, discounts, markups, and markdowns.
H. Prepare payroll records using various pay methods.
I. Calculate the interest, principal, time, and rate for various loans.
J. Compute present value and future value.
K. Calculate monthly payments and finance charges on credit purchases.
