BUSN 232 - Marketing Management Practicum 4 Credits: (1 lecture, 11 work hours per week)
Course Description This course will develop occupational competencies through projects or work experience in a business organization supervised by the instructor and/or supervisor. Work placement will be within organizations that provide marketing or retailing experiences.
Prerequisite Completion of 45 credits in the program including 18 credits in the major with a “C” average and instructor permission required.

Objectives The student will be able to:
A. Apply appropriate marketing concepts acquired in prerequisite studies to actual marketing situations through on-the-job experience.
B. Perform required functions as a member of a marketing planning and implementing team.
C. Demonstrate marketing management skills as they relate directly and/or indirectly to associated businesses.
D. Create a comprehensive marketing plan for the business where the practicum was completed.

Student Evaluation The instructor will assign the final grade based on the evaluation provided by the site supervisor, the completion of 165 hours of work, and the completion of a Marketing Plan of the business where the practicum was completed.
