COMM 202 - Design Organization II 3 Credits: (3 lecture)
Course Description This course focuses on acquiring advanced design skills, while using the various professional programs covered to date. Multiple idea generation techniques will be explored, professional case studies will be considered, and developing and designing a multi-stage design project will be accomplished.
Prerequisite COMM 102, COMM 110, and COMM 112, all with a C or higher.

Objectives The student will be able to:
A. Produce clean, sophisticated two-dimensional ink renderings.
B. Render a properly executed layout in markers.
C. Design a layout with type.
D. Produce a major final project using the entire graphic design discipline, which includes the use of thumbnails, roughs, and comps.
Content A. Design of book jackets, paperback covers, and page illustrations.
B. Fashion design and layout.
C. Package design, including boxes, can labels, and bottle labels.
D. Applications of hand lettering.
Student Evaluation Evaluation will be based upon tests when applicable, student presentations and creative projects.
