NURS 104 - Nursing IV: Nursing Care of Patients with Complex Health Problems 8 Credits: (5 lecture, 9 lab)
Course Description This course prepares the student to provide competent, holistic, and evidence-based nursing care for individuals with multiple and/or complicated medical-surgical disorders. Nursing management and interdisciplinary collaboration skills are stressed. Clinical experiences are in the medical-surgical and critical care hospital settings.
Prerequisite NURS 103, NURS 143, and BIOL 201.Corequisite NURS 144, NURS 105, COMM 201, and MATH 100.

C. Nursing care of individuals in the emergent setting
D. Nursing concepts of resuscitation
E. Nursing role in disaster planning
Student Evaluation Course evaluation will be based on quizzes, examinations, written assignments, comprehensive final examination, return demonstration, and clinical evaluation.
