PHED 132 - Basketball 1 Credits: (3 lab)
Course Description This course is designed to improve the overall understanding and appreciation of basketball. Individual skills development, team concepts, and basic coaching strategy are areas of emphasis.

Objectives The student will be able to:
A. Perform game skills in order to compete in a game situation with individuals of similar ability.
B. Cite the basic rules of college basketball.
C. Participate in various types of life-long basketball activities that do not require a high level of fitness.
D. Demonstrate comprehension of the game from a team viewpoint.
E. Participate in low organizational pick-up game of basketball (one on one, two on two, three on three, etc.).
