PSYC 220 - Psychology of Human Relationships

3 Credits: (3 lecture)

Course Description
This course is designed as a lecture and small group learning experience. Emphasis is placed on understanding and applying the theoretical principles which foster functional personal and professional relationships.

The student will be able to:

A. Evaluate and describe perception theory as it relates to interpersonal relationships.

B. Identify, compare and contrast different theories of motivation and personality.

C. Examine and analyze the factors involved in the communication process.

D. Examine and analyze the factors involved in interpersonal conflict and intimacy.

E. Participate through physical presence and verbal interaction in a basic interpersonal relations training program which is designed for small group interaction (when applicable).
