GENL 101 - College Study Skills (CAPS) 1 Credits: (1 lecture)
Course Description This course provides an opportunity for students to explore a variety of issues related to college success. The course will focus on study skills and personal development and will include the following topics: goal setting, campus resources, note-taking, textbook reading, time management, stress management, test preparation, test taking skills and communication skills.

Identify effective learning skills needed to succeed in college.
Demonstrate communication and coping techniques useful in the academic environment.
Discuss college resources, college policies and procedures, including the use of information technology.
