SOCW 215 - Introduction to Addiction Counseling 3 Credits:
Course Description This course provides an in-depth look at counseling techniques considered most effective in the treatment of addictive disorders. Students will study theory and knowledge of treatment practices, including the following topics: working relationships, stages of change, treatment modalities, case management, intervention techniques, assessment, and placement.
