Associate in Arts Degree
The Criminology major is suggested for students intending to transfer to four-year institutions to complete Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminology. Each four-year college or university determines which BC3 courses are acceptable in transfer. Students should contact the institution for assurance prior to registering for the course at BC3.
Program Competencies
The student/graduate will be able to:
- Identify the principles of criminal procedures with a particular emphasis on federal constitutional limitations.
- Classify crime terminology aligned to the Pennsylvania Crimes Code.
- Apply crime and justice system methodology by using appropriate field-related terminolog.

1 The Mathematics Elective must be taken from the listing in Group III. 2 The Social Science requirements will be met by taking one course each from at least three different categories in Group II found on the back of the planner. 3 General Electives may be selected from courses offered by any department within the College.
