Associate in Arts Degree
The Psychology Program, leading to an Associate in Arts Degree, is designed to prepare students to continue the study of psychology at a four-year institution with a background to sufficiently prepare them for more advanced study. Each four-year college or university determines which BC3 courses are acceptable in transfer. Students should contact the institution for assurance prior to registering for the course at BC3.
Program Competencies
The student/graduate will be able to:
- Identify the eras associated with the major schools of thought in the history of psychology.
- Differentiate among the major contemporary perspectives in the field of psychology.
- Cite the characteristics and age-related changes associated with developmental psychology including physical, social, and cognitive development.
- Enumerate basic research methods, including advantages and disadvantages.
