Technical Trades - Radiologic Technology (314C)

Associate in Applied Science Degree
This two-year program enables individuals who are currently enrolled in or have completed a certificate in a radiologic technology program to obtain the associate degree required to be eligible for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Registry Examination. Once the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Registry Examination is passed, the individual can seek entry-level employment as a professional radiographer in radiology departments of hospitals, offices of private physicians, and other health care facilities using radiographic procedures.
Students must show evidence of successful completion of a JCERT accredited hospital-based radiography certificate program and be eligible for the ARRT National Registry Examination before the degree can be awarded. Admission to a certificate in radiologic technology program is selective and requires application directly to the accredited hospital-based program.
Successful completion of this program may potentially lead to professional licensure. Licensure may be global, national, or state-specific. This program meets requirements for the State of Pennsylvania. Requirements for other states may vary.
