1 Calculus I and II (MATH 221, MATH 222) OR College Algebra (MATH101) and Trigonometry & Functions (MATH102) may be substituted for Technical Mathematics I and II (MATH 117, MATH 118).
2 NIMS Credentials to satisfy the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programming (MECH 114) requirements include: Measurement, Materials and Safety (MMS), CNC Milling-Setup/Programming, and CNC Turning-Setup/Programming Level I credentials. Butler County Community College does not offer coursework that leads to NIMS certifications.
3 Technical Electives include: 3-D Geometric Modeling (DRFT 108); Programming in C++ for Engineers (COMP 230); Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Programming (MECH 115)–see course syllabus for acceptable NIMS credentials; Introduction to Process Control and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCS) (PENG 103); or courses with ELEC or METR. Note: Highly recommend Advisor approval.
4 Chemistry I (CHEM 101) may be substituted for Descriptive Chemistry (CHEM 100).
5 Physics I (PHYS 101) may be substituted for Descriptive Physics (PHYS 100).
6 Physical Wellness is highly recommended.
