This program is designed to provide the basic coursework necessary for transfer to an Early Childhood Education (Pre K-4) baccalaureate program at a four-year institution. The state of Pennsylvania has stringent teacher certification guidelines;therefore, the College recommends that all students adhere to the program planner sequence as much as possible. Each four-year institution determines which BC3 courses are acceptable in transfer. Graduates in the associate program can seek employment in the education field as teacher assistants or teacher aides. Successful completion of this program may lead to professional licensure. Licensure may be global, national, or state-specific. This program meets requirements for the State of Pennsylvania. Requirements for other states may vary.
