Emergency Services - EMS Option (265B)
Associate in Applied Science Degree

This program prepares the student for an entry-level position in the pre-hospital and clinical health care environments. Along with the Emergency Medical Technician Certification course, this degree program offers courses in business, management, accounting, computer science, and communications. These additional skill sets, outside of the practitioner certification, prepare students to pursue opportunities in supervisory and management roles. Employment opportunities can include hospital emergency departments, ambulance services, and similar positions. Successful completion of this program may potentially lead to professional licensure/certification. Licensure/certification may be global, national, or state-specific. This program meets requirements for the State of Pennsylvania. Requirements for other states may vary.

Minimum - 60 credits


Note(s):


Students will receive 1 credit hour toward the completion of the degree for current approved EMT certification. Guidelines for the acceptance of the certification can be obtained from the Dean of Admissions and College Registrar.

Pre-requisite to EMT Certification.

Students must have EMT Certification.
