Office Administration - Executive (308)
Associate in Applied Science Degree

Students in this program will acquire skills in Microsoft® Office applications, office procedures, customer service, and business communication. A graduate of this program seeks employment as a secretary or administrative assistant in a business, government, educational, or industrial environment. Successful completion of this program may potentially lead to professional licensure/certification. Licensure/certification may be global, national, or state-specific. This program meets requirements for the State of Pennsylvania. Requirements for other states may vary.

Courses listed in the first/third semester will be scheduled for the fall; second/fourth semester courses will be scheduled for the spring.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Some courses require another course to be taken beforehand or at the same time. To check if a course has a prerequisite or corequisite, see the course description.

Program Competencies 

The student/graduate will be able to:

  • Accurately key, format, and edit business documents.
  • Perform administrative office procedures in a business setting.
  • Create a professional portfolio illustrating personal competency skills acquired in the Office Administration program.
  • Demonstrate word processing proficiency.

Minimum - 64 credits


Note(s):


1  Any Mathematics course that is taken as part of the requirements in any Business Program must be taken concurrently with or prior to Survey of Accounting (ACCT 110) or Financial Accounting (ACCT 203).

2  Intermediate Algebra (MATH 100) or higher may be substituted for Business Mathematics (BUSN 121).
