This certificate program prepares the student for an entry-level position in the pre-hospital and clinical healthcare environments. Along with the Emergency Medical Technician Certification course, this program offers courses in business and communications. Employment opportunities can include hospital emergency departments, ambulance services, and similar positions. Successful completion of this program may potentially lead to professional licensure/certification.  Licensure/certification may be global, national, or state-specific.  This program meets requirements for the State of Pennsylvania.  Requirements for other states may vary.

Minimum - 28 credits

Note(s):

1 Students will receive 7 credit hours toward the completion of the degree for an approved EMT certification. Guidelines for the acceptance of the certification can be obtained from the Dean of Admissions and College Registrar.
