Nursing, R.N. - BC3 LPN to RN (208PN)

Associate in Applied Science Degree

The Nursing Program at Butler County Community College LPN to RN program is a one-year academically-based program that allows the LPN to matriculate into the second year of the RN nursing program and prepares the graduate to provide and manage direct care to individual clients and their families; and to function as an effective member of the health care team. The graduate is also educated to be a contributing member of the discipline of nursing, committed to professional growth, continuous learning, and self-development. Graduates are eligible to take the licensing examination for registered nurses (NCLEX-RN).  The program prepares the graduate for employment as a registered professional nurse in a variety of community-based health care settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other comparable agencies.  Admission requirements: Must have graduated from Butler County Community College Practical Nursing program (052) with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher and passed the NCLEX-PN examination. They must retain a valid PN license. 48 credits earned from completion of 052 certificate will apply for degree completion.
