Certificate of Achievement
This program prepares students for careers in the metalworking trades and is designed primarily for apprentices and industrial workers. Upon completion, students are prepared for the *National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Level I skill areas and Level II tests in the Lathe and Mill.
Although listed in the Fall semester and Spring semester, the courses will be offered at a frequency, time, and location dictated by industry needs or other demonstrated student interest.
The student is encouraged to use the curriculum planner to keep track of courses taken and those still needed. In some cases, one or more courses may be taken in a different order than indicated on the planner. However, individual course prerequisites must be observed. (Course times may vary, due to the needs of local company apprenticeship programs.)
Prerequisites/Corequisites – Some courses require another course be taken beforehand or at the same time. To check if a course has a prerequisite or corequisite, see the course description.
