Instructional Learning Outcomes/Competencies: Paramedic

The student/graduate will be able to:

• Function safely within the role of the EMT/Paramedic in pre-hospital and clinical settings.
• Comply with professional standards and follow ethical and legal guidelines in the clinical and field settings. 
• Use appropriate therapeutic communication techniques with patients, and patients’ significant others.
• Accurately document electronically essential information related to the paramedic’s actions in a specific patient situation.
• Pass the National Registry examination on the first attempt within 6 months of program completion.
