Instructional Learning Outcomes/Competencies: Architectural Design and Drafting with CADD

The student/graduate will be able to:

• Master typical architectural drawing requirements by planning overall sheet layouts, including application of proper dimensioning, notes and necessary detailing, quality lettering and line work.
• Take a design through its necessary steps in development and develop the ability to integrate other disciplines into the design; coordination of trades and consultants, various components and systems of the building, develop an understanding of what it takes to do the whole job, to put it together, to think holistically.
• Prepare detailed architectural construction drawings using both manual and computer aided software.
• Apply 3-D CAD techniques in the design and rendering of building.
