Instructional Learning Outcomes/Competencies: Medical Assistant

The student/graduate will be able to:

• Incorporate cognitive knowledge in the performance of affective learning domains when providing patient care.
• Implement therapeutic communications when interacting with patients.
• Identify community resources that could assist in patient support, education and well-being.
• Demonstrate psychomotor skills and affective actions as satisfactory for an entry-level medical assistant.
• Successfully pass the National Medical Assistant Certification Examination.
