Instructional Learning Outcomes/Competencies: Physical Therapist Assistant

The PTA Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

The graduation rates for the PTA Program for the previous three years of 2012, 2013 and 2014 were 88.5%, 82.1% and 65.4% for an average graduation rate of 78.7%.

Graduates are required to pass a licensing examination in order to practice as a PTA. The licensing examination (National Physical Therapy Examination or NPTE for PTA’s) passing rates for the previous three years 2011-2013 were 100%, 91.3% and 91.3% for an average passing rate of 94.2%.

Graduates who obtained any form of PTA employment within six months of licensure are considered to be employed. Employment rates for the PTA graduates from the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 were 100%, 95.2% and 95% for an average employment rate of 96.7%.
