This program prepares students to become multi-skilled park and recreation professionals. Skills acquired include: adventure education, recreation leadership, EMS, search and rescue, environmental interpretation, first aid, park law enforcement, and forest and wildlife management. Professional certifications obtained upon successful completion of minimum competency standards in specific courses include: First Responder, CPR for the Professional, Water Rescue and Emergency Response, Ice Rescue and Emergency Response, Advanced Line Systems Rescue, PA - 130 Basic Wildland Firefighter, Project Wild, Project Learning Tree, Project Wet, and ACA Canoeing and Kayaking.
Graduates are employed at national and state parks, camps, municipal recreation facilities, and other recreation and resource management areas. Employment opportunities include park managers, rangers, naturalists, guides, camp directors, as well as many other positions.

b General Psychology or Principles of Sociology recommended
c Outdoor Adventure and Canoeing and Water Safety highly recommended. Student may also elect to take Physical Wellness to fulfill both Physical Education Electives.
