Associate in Applied Science
This program prepares students to be technical problem solvers in industry. Students learn skills and techniques used in “high technology” manufacturing systems to convert materials into useful products. The curriculum is based on workplace competencies with both laboratory and industry projects to enable students to develop technical and professional skills in communication, automation, quality, problem solving, teamwork, and manufacturing processes with an international perspective. Employment opportunities for the graduate include positions such as Manufacturing Technician, Production Planner, Quality Assurance Technician, Technical Service Representative, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) / Robotic Technician, or Manufacturing Associate Manager.
NOTE: Courses listed in the first/third semester will be scheduled in the fall; second/forth semester courses will be scheduled in the spring. The student is encouraged to use the curriculum planner to keep track of courses taken and those still needed. In some cases, one or more courses may be taken in a different order than indicated on the planner. However, individual course prerequisites must be observed.
