Emergency Services - Corrections Option (066A)
Certificate
The area of managing inmates in correctional institutions has become increasingly specialized as the criminal justice systems, local, state and national, expand their populations. Special considerations must be given to the needs of inmates who place unique demands on correctional systems, both from a program and operational perspective. This program prepares the student for entry-level positions in correctional facilities, including all contact and non-contact personnel. Students can utilize their 88-hours attained at the training academy for state regional correctional staff held in Elizabethtown, PA, toward their certificate.
