Associate in Science Degree

The Associate in Science Degree in Education is designed to provide the basic coursework necessary for transfer to a baccalaureate program at a four-year institution for a degree in Secondary Education Social Studies.  Pennsylvania has stringent teacher certification guidelines; therefore, the College recommends that all students adhere to the planner. Since four-year colleges and universities determine which courses are acceptable in transfer, it is essential for all students to contact their chosen transfer institutions to verify course acceptance. Graduates in the associate program can seek employment in the education field as teacher assistants or teacher aides.
