Computer Information Systems - Computer Support Specialist (303A)
Associate in Applied Science Degree

The curriculum provides experience in working with microcomputer hardware, operating system software, application software and networking fundamentals. Graduates of this program may seek employment as Computer Technician, Support Specialist, Computer Support Specialist, Help Desk Analyst, Technical Support Specialist, or Computer Specialist. Employees in such positions would install, upgrade, and troubleshoot microcomputer software and hardware and assist users in  working with microcomputer hardware and software problems, network communications and printing issues.

NOTE: Courses listed in the first/third semester will be scheduled for the fall; second/fourth semester courses will be scheduled for the spring. The student is encouraged to use the curriculum planner to keep track of courses taken and those still needed. In some cases, one or more courses may be taken in a different order than indicated on the planner. However, individual course prerequisites must be observed.

1 Introduction to Microcomputing (COMP 210) or successful completion of exemption test is the prerequisite for COMP 242.
Introduction to Micrcomputing (COMP 210) cannot be used as the computer elective.
