Workplace Certificate

This workplace certificate is intended to provide students with the basic skills that pertain to a variety of manufacturing environments. This certificate would benefit some individuals already employed in industry as well as those seeking employment in manufacturing. Some credits earned in this certificate may be transferable into an employer-sponsored apprenticeship program.

Minimum - 18 credits

MACH 117 - Applied Machine Shop Mathematics 3 credits
or MATH 117 - Technical Mathematics I 3 credits ¹
DRFT 114 - Blueprint Reading (Machine) 3 credits
or DRFT 120 - Technical Graphics with AutoCAD® 4 credits ²
MECH 114 - Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining 3 credits

Spring Semester (9)

DRFT 112 - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T) 3 credits
MECH 103 - Manufacturing Processes and Materials 3 credits
ENGL 110 - Workplace Communications 3 credits
or ENGL 101 - College Writing 3 credits ³
