ELEC 101 - DC Circuits 4 credits (3 lecture, 2 lab) This course stresses the foundations of DC Circuit Analysis. Major topics included are: the structure of matter, units of measurement, engineering and scientific notation, Ohm’s Law, Kirchoff’s Laws, Thevenin’s and Norton’s Theorems, superposition theorem, loop and nodal analysis, use of the VOM, DMM, and adjustable single polarity and bipolar power supplies. Circuit bread boarding techniques will be emphasized in the laboratory section of the course. This course is primarily intended for students in the AAS Electronic Technology Program offered during the evening.) Corerequisite(s): High School Algebra or MATH 091.
