Associate in Science Degree

The Associate Degree is designed for students intending to transfer to a senior-level institution to complete a Bachelor’s Degree. Program flexibility prepares the student for a variety of fields such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Medical-related careers, and Laboratory Technology. See Nanofabrication Technology Specialization  for a fifth semester.

NOTE: Courses listed in the first/third semester will be scheduled for the fall; second/fourth semester courses will be scheduled for the spring. The student is encouraged to use the curriculum planner to keep track of courses taken and those still needed. In some cases, one or more courses may be taken in a different order than indicated on the planner. However, individual course prerequisites must be observed.

Notes:


1 For students interested in a health profession field such as pharmacy, pre-medicine, pre-dental, etc., Principles of Biology (BIOL 120) should be taken in the first semester instead of Health Science (HLTH 120).

2 Foreign Language or Literature recommended.

Technical Electives are:  Electronic Devices, Circuits, and Measurements (ELEC 161), Principles of Biology (BIOL 120), Principles of Biology II (BIOL 121),  Calculus and Analytic Geometry III (MATH 223), Differential Equations (MATH 224).

4 History or Economics elective recommended.
