Associate in Science Degree
The program in Mathematics is intended to prepare the student for transfer to a senior-level institution for work in mathematics or for a career as a mathematics technician in business, industry, or government. A strong mathematics background is desirable for those who wish to pursue a career in economics or business administration.
Courses in technology, although not designed for transfer to four-year liberal arts programs, will satisfy the elective requirement. Intermediate Algebra, Technical Math I and II CANNOT be used as credit toward an Associate Degree in Mathematics.
NOTE: Courses listed in the first/third semester will be scheduled for the fall; second/fourth semester courses will be scheduled for the spring. The student is encouraged to use the curriculum planner to keep track of courses taken and those still needed. In some cases, one or more courses may be taken in a different order than indicated on the planner. However, individual course prerequisites must be observed.
