Instructional Learning Outcomes/Competencies: Nursing

The student/graduate will be able to:

  • Apply the five phases of the nursing process as presented on the HESI exam given at the end of the 2nd semester.
  • Apply critical thinking skills aligned with nursing practices as presented on the HESI exam given at the end of the 3rd semester
  • Recognize client needs in the nursing setting aligned with safety, health promotion, physiological integrity, and psychological integrity.
  • Attain a level of acceptable performance on the HESI Exit exam.
  • Pass the NCLEX-RN examination on the first attempt within 6 months of graduation.
